As if Ant-Man wasn't controversial enough - at least casting-wise - it got a whole lot weirder when heavyweight Michael Douglas reportedly joined the cast. That's right! Maybe Marvel is seeing something we don't, because they first signed on a comedian for the lead (Paul Rudd), and now, they managed to convince an Oscar-winner to jump on board.
Rolling Stone reports that the Last Vegas star has signed up to play none other than the superhero himself. Details below:
"
According to Variety, the actor has officially signed on to play scientist Hank Pym in Ant-Man, an upcoming movie based on the Marvel comic franchise.
In the comics, Pym became the original Ant-Man after creating the story's shape-shifting chemical, which allowed him to shrink down to the size of an ant. He then passed the torch to Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) after retiring. It's unclear exactly how Douglas and Rudd will share the Ant-Man handle in the film.

What do you think? Does that make sense?
