Preliminary Ratings: Wednesday 04/23/14

AMERICAN IDOL and FOX led a low viewing night for the broadcast networks. IDOL drew 8.9 million viewers and a 2.1 rating in Adults 18-49, over the two hour telecast. It was enough to hold off ABC's all original line up and CBS' and NBC's repeat filled night. Idol was actually up from last week's numbers, by 400k in viewers and 11% in the demographic ratings.
