As expected, the new Brad Pitt movie, FURY, was the #1 movie at this weekend's box office, but the total weekend take was much lower than what was expected. The movie hauled in just $23.5 million, the lowest total by a top weekend film, since the first weekend of the "fall movie season" (Sept. 5-7), when GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY brought in $10 million. This is the second best, live action opening for Brad Pitt, in the last five years (WORLD WAR Z drew $66 million), but is far shy to what the actor could do with any movie's opening weekend.
