Ichi Ritoru no Namida 2005 'One Liter of Tears' English subtitled. TV drama version of "Ichi ritoru no namida" tells the story of 15-year-old Ikeuchi Aya/Erika Sawajiri, an ordinary girl and a new highschool student. She discovers she has spinocerebellar degeneration, an incurable disease that affects the cerebellum of the brain. Based on a true story, Aya lived her life to the fullest until her death at age 25. Seeing the strong earnest wish of Aya's wish "to live", the drama delivers the message: "Just being alive is such a lovely and wonderful thing."
