
With the shooting incident in San Bernardino, CA, taking place on Wednesday, Viewers turned to the cable news networks for continuos news and information. FOX News was the #1 network, taking three of the top four spots, and averaging 5.1 million viewers and a 0.8 rating in the A18-49 demographic, from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. CNN was not too far behind, taking the #3, #5 and #6 spots, and averaging 3.7 million viewers and a 0.9 demo rating, over the three hours. Even the usually low rated MSNBC saw a boost in their numbers, averaging 1.4 million viewers and getting all three hours onto the chart.
