Classic Ratings Review: TWIN PEAKS (Season Two - 1990-91)

After a successful first season, in the spring of 1990, TWIN PEAKS was a much anticipated series for the 1990-91 season. The two hour second season premiere pulled in 19.1 million viewers and a 20 share, ranking 41 on the week. In comparison, the #1 show of the week, CHEERS, pulled in 28.4 million viewers and a 31 share. The ratings were up from the first season finale and the best since episode three.
