Scottish actor Ewan McGregor isn't sure if he'll make a comeback in Disney's Star Wars: Episode VII. He admitted that he would reprise his role gladly, but what worries him is that he might never even get that chance. He told The Daily Express that the studio is looking for someone older, giving an example with original Obi-Wan Kenobi actor, Alec Guinness.



Hey, didn't Disney announce that the upcoming Star Wars films are going to be origins stories? (rhetorical). Who wants to see an elderly Jedi in action anyway?

The Scottish actor has made no secret that he’s keen to reprise his role as Obi Wan Kenobi in JJ Abrams’ new movie.

But the star has expressed concerns that the director may be after someone who looks more like Alec Guinness, who played the character originally.

He told The Daily Express: ‘The problem is that I played the young Obi Wan and they are going to be looking for an old Obi Wan and that’s Alec Guinness’s territory.

‘I’m waiting for that call but I think they’re more likely to want an Alec lookalike than me.’
