THE NEWSROOM Comes to End After Season 3

HBO's praised drama series The Newsroom has been confirmed to end with next season, which is third in order. If you ask me, that's only because "cancellation" sounds too bad for a brand like HBO. Then again, maybe I'm being so harsh because I haven't seen a single episode of this, but there must also be a reason as to why they want to end things so soon.

Here is the official statement HBO president Michael Lombardo gave for the "loss" of a smart series:
