US Box Office Results: August 1 - 3, 2014

As expected, Marvel's newest movie, GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY, was the nations #1 movie of the weekend, collecting $94 million in it's first weekend. That ranks as the 3rd best of the year, behind the 4th TRANSFORMERS ($100m) movie and the second CAPTAIN AMERICA Movie ($95m). GARDIANS has an outside chance at making $300 million, during its domestic run.
