Zack Snyder has been under a lot of scrutiny ever since Warner Bros hired him to work his magic on the Superman franchise reboot.
Now more than ever, fans have been rather reluctant of Aquaman's involvement in the upcoming Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. I've got to admit, I've also criticized Snyder for casting virtually the entire Justice League team in a Superman movie, but whatever. Just saying!
The director called into a local Detroit radio station on Friday morning to defend Aquaman, indirectly teasing his involvement in the upcoming “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.”
Snyder was listening to 97.1 The Ticket’s Stoney and Bill radio show while driving to “Batman v Superman’s” Detroit set when he heard “disparaging” remarks about the King of the Seven Seas. The hosts were questioning why Aquaman is involved in the blockbuster.
Zack said Aquaman’s cool because his trident could “cut the flesh of Superman if they came in contact … he’s super strong.”
However, Snyder didn’t confirm the months of speculation that Aquaman will be making an appearance in “Batman v Superman,” even though Jason Momoa has signed on for the role.
“It’s not to say that he’s in the movie or anything like that but … he has the potential to be bad ass,” Snyder said.
