US Box Office Results: July 31 - August 2, 2015

New movies top this weekend's chart, as the fifth movies of both MISSION IMPOSSIBLE and VACATION take spots one and two, respectively.

MISSION IMPOSSIBLE: ROGUE NATION collected $56 million its first three dyes, while in just under 4,000 theaters. It is the second best opening weekend for the franchise, behind MI:II, and is vastly better the GHOST PROTOCOL (2011) take of just $12.8 million. But the 4th movie did not open nation wide its first weekend.
