Preliminary Ratings: Thursday 09/17/15

The season premiere of THURSDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL helped CBS sweep the night in the ratings, as the networked averaged 15.2 million viewers and a 5.1 rating in the A18-49 demographic. The game itself pulled in 16 million and a 5.4 rating in the A18-49 demo. That is well below last year's first game, which hauled in 20.8 million viewers and a 7.5 demo. But, the numbers will rise when finals are released later today.
