US Box Office Results: January 29 - 31, 2016

The third installment of KUNG FU PANDA franchise became became the #1 movie of the weekend and the #1 animated movie opening in January, with $41 million in its first three days. But, of the three movies, it is the weakest opening. Five years ago, KFP2 opened with $5.6 million more and the first movie, in 2008, opened 50% larger.
