FOX wins the Wednesday night ratings, but it may have been a bit of a disappointment for the executives at FOX. At 8 PM, EMPIRE, the #1 show in all three demographics, posts its second lowest rated night of the season, with 7.6 million viewers and a 2.7 rating in Adults 18-49. That is up from last week's 9 PM episode by two-tenths of a point in the demo. The premiere of the new spin-off series STAR, from EMPIRE, only kept 71% of the A18-34 demographic and 81% in the A18-49 demographic. That is down from last week's EMPIRE, in the time slot. Both series are better than anything else FOX has been scheduling, but the ride of EMPIRE may be close to ending.
