Preliminary Ratings: Wednesday 10/17/2017

CBS sweeps the Wednesday night ratings, with SURVIVOR leading the way. SURVIVOR, 8.0 million viewers and a 1.7 rating in Adults 18-49, wins the 8 PM hour, topping/tying EMPIRE in all categories except the A18-49 demographic. SURVIVOR was the most watched show of the night. At 10 PM, CRIMINAL MINDS battles it out with CHICAGO PD for the top spot at 10 PM, hauling in 5.9 million viewers and a 1.1 rating in the A18-49 demo. The weak point of the night for CBS is at 9 PM, as SEAL TEAM losses 50% of the A18-34 lead in and 40% in the A18-49 demo. The freshman drama also finishes 4th in the hour, in the three demo categories.
