Preliminary Ratings: Thursday 01/04/2018

Three of the five broadcast networks were back in original episodes, with FOX premiering the nights only new series, THE FOUR. The new singing competition series stalled at the gate, attracting just 3.7 million viewers and posting a 1.2 rating in Adults 18-49. It was enough to lift FOX to #2 on the night, and is a 20% increase over former Thursday occupants, GOTHAM and THE ORVILLE, in the A18-49 demographic. But, considering viewership will drop in week two, THE FOUR looks to be a dud.
