Saijo no Meii 2016 Special *Takumi Saito & Yuki Saito

Pediatric surgeon Saijo Mikoto/Saito Takumi had repeated occurrences of metastasis because of liver cancer five years ago. Nothing could be done about his situation. He became a clinical trial patient of the most advanced treatment in America and miraculously escaped death. He comes back to Japan after five years although there is the risk of a relapse and starts work at Kera General Hospital. But the pediatric doctors including Miyoshi Masayasu/Kamiji Yusuke are worn out because of the exhausting work and many lawsuits. Saijo worries about the doctor Oda Reiko/Saito Yuki who extremely detests risks and handles her duties meticulously. Reiko was transferred to the pediatric department from the department of surgery as a result of an incident three years ago. One day, Saijo notices that a baby girl diagnosed with asthma, is acting strange. He discovers a tumour from the medical reports. Furthermore, this is not a mere tumour. On the other hand, Miyoshi’s nephew Kyusuke contracts an infection and Miyoshi and Saijo scramble.
