Hallmark's CEDAR COVE is strong at bringing in viewers, as long as they are 50 and older. As an example, the season premiere drew 1.46 million total viewers. Of those viewers, only about 125,000 were between the ages of 18 and 49. Not that is a bad thing. Remember, a majority of cable TV revenues come form subscriber fees. The more people that watch your network, the better leverage you have in negotiations of those fees with the cable companies. CEDAR COVE brings viewers/subscribers to Hallmark.
